I chose the SUNY dual diploma programs in order to broaden my horizons by receiving education at prestigious Turkish and American universities with students from all around the world. During my time in the US, I received a merit based-scholarship, as well as completing a minor in Finance and a double major in Financial Economics, before graduating as the valedictorian of Binghamton University - METU Business Administration dual diploma program. Then, I went on to study at The London School of Economics and Political Science - LSE, one of the most prestigious schools in the world, and received a master’s in Decision Studies with the highest honors. I continue my professional career in the Strategic Planning department at the globally-known glass manufacturer, Sisecam.
The experiences I gained as I graduated from the dual diploma program, with three diplomas still illuminates my path. Due to the nature of the program that requires an often changing environment, living space, friend group, language, culture etc., I acquired a lot of skills helping me adapt to many changes throughout your life as quickly as I can. Through the dual diploma program, I also gained a valuable thing that I will cherish for the rest of my life: Being a part of the SUNY family. Being a part of this family gave me he privilege to be accepted in my academic, professional as well as my daily life without having to prove myself all over again
