Istanbul Technical University - Fashion Institute of Technology

This program is run by Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and the SUNY Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). It has been admitting students since 2004. Students will complete 5 semesters at ITU, (the first year fall-spring, second year fall and third year fall-spring semesters), and 4 semesters at FIT, (the second year spring-summer and fourth year fall-spring semesters). Upon successful completion of the program, students receive a diploma from both ITU and FIT.

The period of study is 4 years and the medium of the program is English. The students are required to present portfolios for admission. In addition, to begin their studies, students must receive a minimum TOEFL score of 80 IBT (or an equivalent score from another internationally recognized English exam). Those who cannot achieve proficiency in the language are to attend a preparatory program in English at ITU. Students are allowed up to 2 years to complete the preparatory program.

The payment is to be made in TL currency while studying at ITU and in US Dollar while studying at FIT. Registered students take ITU courses at ITU Gumussuyu Campus (Istanbul) and take US courses at FIT (New York, NY, USA).

The Students who complete their program successfully at these recognized universities will have the right to work legally in their field of study for a certain period in the United States via Optional Practical Training (OPT).
