I started to study at Business Administration dual diploma program offered by METU and Binghamton University in 2012. Dual diploma programs which are designed well by the best universities in Turkey provided me and my classmates functional knowlegde rather than theoretical information. Thus, we become more prepared for the professional life. During my study, I took the advantage of internship opportunities. In addition to this, I got the chance to promote Turkish culture to many international students and American people with a great team. Thanks to this acculturation I could communicate with people who have different social, religious and cultural background both in my social and professional life.The fact that I can communicate has brought me to the point where I should have confidence in myself and in my potential.
After graduation, I experienced proffesional life in the USA for a while. Then I have started to work at Amazon Turkey office. All these experiences that I mentioned gave me the opportunity to gain my first work experience at one of the most global companies in the world. I can observe clearly that all my friends who graduated have started to work at Turkey’s leading companies in a very short time.
Living and studying 10,000 km away from our country in this competitive environment where university life has a sharp impact on the flow of human life is not easy in the framework of the risks it carries. However, the risks we can take in this competitive environment, the improvement of our academic and social life, and the global point of view that we can achieve are the key to our success in our lives.
As a person who begins life with a key, I adopt the philosophy of keeping up the same vision for the next path that I will follow. I wish success to all graduates, students and prospective students who are not afraid of taking risks and can determine their place and percentage of slice clearly with the help of the all these experiences. I am very happy to believe sincerely that we are a big family and a boutique community which has always supported each other with our growing family in academia and business world.It is not about the opportunities we have taken but the fact that how we utilize them.
