Hello friends! I am one of the 2019 alumni of SUNY dual diploma programs offered by University at Buffalo and Istanbul Technical University. After I graduated, I started to work at AEGIS Project Control Company in the USA as a Project Controller Engineer. I believe you are all aware of the pattern of the program, so I will pass over this part thinking that your time is valuable. The program provides a lot to students. First of all, having the privilage of being an alumni of ITU keeps you a step ahead of your competitors and provides you a necessary sense of self confidence when you start to work in the construction industry. As it is probably already talked about a lot at high schools to students who aim to study in engineering departments, it is unnecessary to talk about the education you will take from ITU. This is just the Turkey part of the program. As for the US part, first of all, you are going to Buffalo where you will improve your survival skills because the city is cold. The campus provides you a great deal of cultural diversity. Thanks to this, you can get to know different cultures and expand your world view. University at Buffalo doesn't stay behind ITU in terms of education, even more at some points you can catch opportunities you don't have at ITU. (Be open to surprises!) Furthermore, University at Buffalo is a university which can provide an opportunity for those who want to work abroad and develop their careers. In conclusion, the friendship you build thanks to this program will be permanent for you such as the two diplomas you will receive from ITU and University at Buffalo.
