A two-year co-operation agreement was signed between Sisli Municipality and University at Albany, SUNY Global Health and Human Rights Institute against HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) and AIDS.
Hayri İnönü, Şişli Mayor, Dr. Arash Alaei, Director of Global Health and Human Rights Institute at University at Albany,SUNY, Pavel Ursu, Head of the World Health Organization in Turkey Office, Emel Özdemir Şahin, General Director of Communicable Diseases at Ministry of Health, Gökhan Yıldırımkaya Turkey Representative of World Population Fund and many health proffesionals attended the signing ceremony held in the municipality building. The ceremony began with information on HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) and AIDS disease, the diagnosis of the disease, treatment methods and routes of transmission. Afterwards, representatives of University at Albany, SUNY gave their presentations at the ceremony where the signatures of cooperation were laid.
