U.S. Ambassador, John Bass hosted SUNY programs alumni in his residence! (4/13/2015)
On April 13, 2015, U.S. Ambassador John Bass hosted a reception for SUNY alumni and representatives from SUNY partner universities in Turkey, highlighting the dual diploma programs.
In his opening remarks, Ambassador Bass emphasized the importance of people to people contacts as the foundation of the bilateral relations between the United States and Turkey. He also mentioned that, the Turkish participants graduated not only with dual degrees and excellent academic credentials, but also with a deep understanding of the United States and Americans. And the many American students, professors, and New York residents who interacted with them at SUNY have also come away from that experience with a deeper understanding of Turkey and its people.
