Sally Crimmins Villela,Asistant Vice Chancellor for Global Affairs visit to Turkey
Sally Crimmins Villela, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Global Affairs, visited partner campuses in Turkey during December 12-15, 2016, accompanied by Büşra Cebeci, Program Director in the SUNY office in Turkey.
During her visit, Ms. Crimmins Villela met with dual diploma program coordinators to discuss opportunities to improve the programs and increase student and faculty exchanges between both countries. In addition, Ms. Crimmins Villela had the opportunity to meet with the new rectors and vice rectors at Istanbul Technical University, Middle East Technical University, Dokuz Eylül University, İzmir University of Economics and the rector of Anadolu University.
On behalf of SUNY, she extended condolences to the rectors and all colleagues for the recent terrorist attack in İstanbul and shared her deep concern for the current situation in Turkey. “As longstanding partners we wish to continue our important work together in improving and expanding our academic partnerships,” she said.
